Creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as well as executing training to standardize work and reduce the cost of poor quality.Achieved:o Introduction of new machine SOPs for the laminating process resulting in a scrap reduction of $150,000 per annumo On time, on budget execution of over $1.2 Million of Capital Expenditure in 2012 with overlapping, complex projects that required the coordination of the production, maintenance, IT and automation departments as well as the management of external suppliers and contractors.o Selected as technical lead and coordinator for the glass subproject of PGT’s Company Wide ERP / MRP in which we are planning a 100 PC roll out to modernize production and facilitate the distribution of timely and accurate information.o Executed factory layout as well as supplier identification through commissioning of $9 Million in new equipment purchases on a 96,000 square foot expansion.

Focus primarily on the given advice and support on projects I was working on before and have experience in as well as giving advice on process improvements.

Engineering Manager equivalent responsible for defining production strategies, managing budgets, ensuring plan execution and satisfaction of customer needs before and after delivery. Operationally this included ensuring the quality of work going to the customer, developing direct reports based on gap analysis, leading continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring SQDC goals were met. For new product introductions this included gathering customer requirements, developing sales proposals, establishing prices, reviewing product designs, ensuring compliance to railroad regulations and qualification of the new product.Achieved:o Designed and implemented the production process for TRE’s first safety critical railway infrastructure product called Signaler’s Assistant. The trial site now has approval for installation and is planned for a commissioning in 2011.o Planned and executed a series of demonstrations which won $5 million of simulators.o Appointed as Quality Champion and as such pushed forward the creation of a series of training courses and new company procedures that lowered simulator production times from 4 months to 3. In addition the new training courses improved the ability of the existing staff along with decreasing the time required for new entrants to get up to speed from 6 months to 3.o Used these new processes to set the highest profit figure for a simulator project to date of 67%.o Assisted General Electric Transportation Systems in completing a successful commissioning of a live railway re-signaling contract as a Consultant Data Preparation Engineer which lead onto a 3 month process improvement consultancy at their offices.

Responsible for the manufacturing and testing of electronic systems to satisfy customer orders including reporting progress to the Project Engineer. Achieved:o The timely completion of the Tyne suite of four simulator projects which included the training of a new recruit, one of the most complex workstations undertaken by TRE and had a 40% profit margin on completion.
