Tasked with managing customer and technical support within the Armour Home business for our manufactured brands Q Acoustics, QED, Systemline, Goldring, Audica Pro and Milty, along with distributed brands Lutron and Grado, enabling an industry leading level of support to our retail customers, residential installers and consumers through multiple channels/mediums. Introduced cloud based HelpDesk system Zoho for all in house brands including customer portal, Knowledge Base management.

Field based role, supporting both our customer base and Area Sales teams in integrating Systemline (wired multi-room audio) and Lutron (intelligent lighting/shading control) products within a wider install including private residential and commercial environments. Responsible for Lutron residential lighting/shading including site survey, specification, quotation and commissioning/programming services. Other areas of the role include Trade Show support both technical and staffing for the duration. Delivery of CPD accredited presentations during exhibitions. Conducting Systemline S7 training from our Bishops Stortford and Wigan training suites along with field based training via national electrical wholesalers and larger install outfits on both mainland UK and N.I.

Managing the Lutron brand within Armour as well territory sales in Cambs, Beds, Herts, Essex, North London, East London, Leics, East Midlands, Norfolk and Suffolk. Always on the lookout for customers with a desire to work with one of the leading audio manufacturers here in the UK.

Management of the more technical brands within Armours C.I. portfolio, these included, Lutron, Imerge, Axonix, Nevo, Channel Plus, Home Cinema Modules, CineRacks, CineScreens, QED Pro Cables, Redeye, Epson, Projection Design and others. Duties including, budgeting, forecasting, product launch, technical evaluation, dealer training, collation of marketing collateral, development of the brands within the C.I. channel and assissting in Trade Show delivery and attendance.

Supervising the day to day activities of the Technical and Training Team at the Bishops Stortford Offices. On-site technical support and Lutron Homeworks commissioning and programming.

Fist line Technical support for all the brands carried by Armour Home including Systemline, Imerge, Sonance, Channel Plus, QED and Myryad. Role was office telephone based, but included field visits to site. Achievements included qualifying as a Lutron Homeworks Specifier/Programmer. Reporting to the Technical and Training manager.

Identifying and seeking out partners where NXT technologies developed in house could be used. Project management of products involving new technologies including NXT. Management of a 6 strong R&D team providing mechanical CAD, acoustic design and graphical design. Project tracking, budget control and resource allocation through the use of Microsoft Project Manager. Management of Missions global IP patents, Design Registrations, Trade Marks and Copyright, this included regular meetings with our Patent Attorney and the submission of Patents and Design Registrations. Part of the senior management team and reporting directly to the Managing director.

Looking after the IT systems both UK, New Jersey, Canada, Germany and Denmark. Management information reporting to the Sales, Operations and Managing directors through use of accounting system Accpac and bespoke reports writing software, included closing down of financial periods, and preparing/opening ledgers for new period. Achievements included migration of enterprise servers from Novell to Microsoft NT, introduction of internal intranet through to enterprise wide use of e-mail through Outlook, project lead on the migration of Accpac accounting/MRP systems to a new ERP system from Strategix with a budget of £120k, undertook the assembling of an internal group of staff to champion the system from concept to operation, initiated the selection process and evaluation of software shortlist. Co-ordinated the migration and parallel running of the two systems while bedding in. Brought the project in on budget. Negotiated IT contracts with Dell and Gateway for supply of IT hardware and maintained strategic links with VAR's. Developed Mission and Cyrus first websites written in HTML with frames. Managed a team of 2 I.T. staff.

Looking after the production of Mission Loudspeakers and Cyrus Electronics. Testing of product through the use of Audio Precision, oscilloscopes, Clio, multi-meters. Working out production cycles based on stock levels, sales requirements and available staff. Creation of production jigs to aid assembly. Time and motion studies for insights into production efficiencies. Prioritising sub-assembly builds to ensure smooth flow of main assembly lines. Liaising with suppliers such as GEC Alsthom for PCB, TT Plastics for moldings, various metal works fabricators and our in house cabinet manufacturing. Use of JIT computer crane operated small spares, including programming of remote vehicles, along with basic VAX VMS reporting for weekly stock taking.

Manufacturing of the original Mission integrated amplifier 778 and then Cyrus Electronics. Ensuring smoothing running of the production lines, first alert to potential issues, reporting to the Production Supervisor.
