I currently Oversee the Patient Food Service at The Royal Free Hospital. I am also the Deputy Contract Manger for the contract.

This is a role which involves the overall management and leadership of the catering, hostess and domestic contract across 6 sites for South London & Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. I support the day to day operational management team of all service issues involving the use of creative planning and organisational skills. I collaborate with Trust Managers in providing accurate and adequate policies, procedures and evidence to comply with Care Quality Commission, PLACE, environmental health and mental health act requirements. I was instrumental in the development and implementation of the reintroduction of traditional cooking along with the implementation of a cooked chill production unit. I was actively involved in the process mapping exercises and training of some of the key users of these systems. My contribution also extended to problem solving both during this project and in the post project phase. I enjoyed all aspects of the project and would relish taking on any challenges that may present themselves during the implementation of any new systems at your Trust.

To be responsible and accountable for the operation and management of street cleansing and caretaking staff and services ensuring that working practices are maintained and future business developed and current procedures developed and reviewed including .Ensure that national and locally agreed personnel polices, including recruitment, disciplinary, appeals, grievances, sickness and equal opportunities procedures are observed. (wte establishment 80)Ensure that the standards of street cleansing are to the specificationTo investigate and conduct disciplinary hearings.Management of all applicable payroll procedures.Produce annual training plan, identifying needs and outcomes.Continually review manpower requirements in order to optimise control of quality, service and cost. .agree, implement and monitor policy objectives for department and that all objectives are achieved as set out in the business plan.Control of budgets, regular forecasting and achievement of all financial objectives within the business plans. Budgetary management (£4 million turnover)Liaise with external contracts and agencies, maintaining a high profile relationship with users of the service, and promote two way communications regarding all aspects of service specifications and quality control.Ensuring Health & Safety activity and objectives are central to the operation of the department. Ensure that both household, Clinical Waste, Commercial waste are dealt with in accordance to council policy. Attend regular out of hour’s meetings with Councillors, tenants and residents and other bodies where appropriate.Ensure that all Mayoral promises are worked upon to ensure that the promise is achieved on behalf of the Mayor.Ensure close working with both member services and customer services team effectively dealing with raised case work and replying to Councilors complaints and queries. Forward planning for Borough events including Town Shows, Concerts & Fun Runs.
