During the whole Covid situation I took the decision to begin working for myself Painting and Decorating for local people. I felt I needed a break from Manufacturing after becoming frustrated in my job searches. I am now ready for my next challenge and looking forward to obtaining a new role.

I was a Production Shift leader on a double day shift in charge of a number of departments organising more than fifteen permanent staff and also agency staff to produce secure documents for national and international customers. Production of Bio-data pages for international accounts, Mailing, digital printing, booklet production and card production. Ensuring production performance was acheived on all machinery accross four departments and downtime was analysed regularly to acheive maximum output. Staff skills matrix and appraisals were to be kept up to date and additional training was observed to ensure cover was achieved on all shifts throughout the department to reduce agency staff requirements. Implementing lean manufacturing processes to improve productivity to reduce costs, improve quality and reduce downtime.Reducing LTA's, Investigating customer complaints and ensuring that Quality improvement notices were reduced were an integral part of my daily routine and acheiving high plan attainment in all areas of the business.

Organize a team of Print Finishers on a day shift in all finishing operations from cutting, folding, stitching and die-cutting. Work was produced to the highest standards and machines were run at optimum speeds to ensure that all deadlines were met

Organize and control Production and deliveries in the Finishing Department across 3 shifts and ensuring that the highest quality, performance and delivery was achieved. Constant control of the department and maximum output from machinery was my main focus whilst reducing overtime and reducing make ready times. Cross training staff accross the department to ensure that there was cover on all machines whilst working with minimum staff.Reducing Overtime, maximise machinery output performance, reduce delivery costs and minimise waste were all achievements I made during my time with Carlton Press Group.
