Took a break from IT and bought a franchise doing something completely different.

As Covéa embarked on it's Digital Transformation, the Development Team Leaders went through a job title rationalisation. As a Lead Software Engineer, working with the Site Lead and Scrum Masters I helped instil AGILE values into the Reading developers and testers. I helped define the AGILE Scrum teams and set up the local Engineering Community of Practice.

Led team of between 6 and 8 developers and a BAWorked with the developers in our Halifax office to facilitate the in-sourcing of Motor Claims and the integration of the ex-Provident and ex-MMA systemsPerformed the system analysis to facilitate the in-sourcing of Home claims including analysing Commercial off the shelf solutionsCreated the system design of the new internal Home Claims system with a browser front end and configurable dynamic question sets (Home grown BPM) Designed and help implement a new browser based solution to allow Covéa to launch it's new Business Combined Product

Led a team of between 6 and 9 developersMigrated all Web services from Cross Vision to Web MethodsFacilitated the outsourcing of Motor Claims over several outsource partners concurrently using a full web service integration with the third party loss adjusters.

Led Team of between 3 and 7 developersPerformed complete as is and to be Systems Analysis of Saturn, one of MMA's then subsidiariesImplemented real time quote and buy web services for commercial products using Software AG's Cross Vision Products.

Co-led team of 8 developersAnalysed/Designed and implemented a solution to enable MMA to outsource it's Motor Claims using Microsoft SQL Server Stored Procedures and DTS.

Delivered Y2K Facilitated the outsourcing of Home Claims to a 3rd Claims Handling company in Cardiff using a cut down version of the internal system which the outsource handlers Dual keyed claims onto.Delivered Household EDI Renewals

As an Analyst Programmer I helped deliver the then new Claims System in Natural Windows. I also performed the systems analysis and system design of the then new Direct Debit Solution.
