Bell Cleaning Services was a small window cleaning business owned by a member of my family who emigrated. I purchased the business from him. The business has been operating in a very small way in and around Newport area, predominantly window cleaning to retail units, small amount of office and end of tenancy cleaning.Since taking over the business we have growth the business considerably now having several window cleaning teams, cleaning domestic and commercial buildings as well as other services such as gutter cleaning. Our clients include HAFOD housing and Mid, West and South Wales Fire Service. We have a large portfolio of office cleaning contracts across South East Wales. We also have a specialist cleaning division carrying out sanitation cleans for coronavirus where we have the full facilities to deep clean and thermo-fogg any size building. We have an End of Tenancy division where we do everything including cleaning and clearance, waste removal, ground maintenance, painting and decorating and repair work. We have a division specialising in Builders Cleans, anything from large commercial buildings to new housing development sites, as well as cleaning to site offices and show homes.

Having sold Crystal Group to Atlas FM I continued in a senior sales role, winning new contracts in the South Wales area with a particular focus on targeting housing schemes, blue chip companies and government organisations.

Totally responsible for developing the business and achieving Fast Growth 50 for 2 consecutive years.

Reformed a new company from scratch, employing 60 staff by the second year. Providing high quality contract cleaning services to local authority, major local organisations and blue chip companies - becoming one of the leading cleaning companies in the locality.

Head hunted by MSS to join them to develop a division in Commercial Cleaning - succeeded in helping to grow the business to a 1.5 million turnover within the first 12 months.

Having sold out to the Pedus group who are a world wide organisation operating in 26 countries and the largest service provider of its type I was asked to take over the management of their company just a month after selling to them. I continued to work on a national basis developing business all over the UK with national accounts. I took the company into the security market and purchased a 1.5 million security company to assist with the expansion. I reorganised the catering operation from a huge loss on my take over to break even and into the profit by 2003. I was responsible for operations final control and business development.

Cleaning company developed from scratch, providing services to many Blue Chip organisations including British Airways, Pirelli Cables (nationally), C&A stores (nationally), Corus, Continental Teves, Zorlink to name just a few. We were a high profile employer, employing up to 600 staff with an excellent repuation for providing top class services in a cost effective manner.
