Mutual Fund Administration• Lead and manage Financial Reporting & Expense staff to meet department goals and objectives• Support the team's Internal Control environment and ensure it is operating effectively• Oversight of the Financial Reporting team and ensure SEC filings (N-PORT, N-CEN, N-CSR, N-MFP, N-1A, N-14) are accurate and filed timely• Research and implement new SEC Investment Company Reporting Modernization requirements and other required investment company regulatory reporting changes• Assist in data mapping and integrating reporting software to meet the SEC data reporting requirements • Develop processes and controls to accurately report thousands of data points per fund to meet the SEC's monthly reporting requirement• Partner with business systems analyst and technology teams to collaborate on data strategy and data governance best practices

Mutual Fund Administration• Identify and implement internal controls and process improvements within Financial Reporting to ensure accuracy of reporting and to ensure required deadlines are met• Lead or have significant role on key projects (agile/scrum) while bringing a continuous improvement mindset• Prepare shareholder reports for the Thrivent Mutual Funds and Series Funds including annual reports, semi-annual reports, prospectus, fund performance, and mutual fund related SEC filings• Assist in the execution of the financial close process, preparation of financial statements, schedule of investments, managers discussion of fund performance and other sections of annual and semi-annual reports• Partner with key stakeholders including Corporate Actuarial, Investment Accounting, Investment Performance, Expense Management, Accounting Operations, Legal, Compliance, Product Marketing, IT and Portfolio Management in the execution of various SEC filings• Research new and existing U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), SEC and FASB guidance• Lead and deliver new product proforma profitability analysis to marketing leaders and CFO• Create and deliver ad hoc reports to Board of Directors, executives, senior management and other business partners• Responsible for producing fund performance and expense data for quarterly Board of Directors reporting

Mutual Fund Accounting Operations• Accurately accounted for portfolios within the private placement (COLI) mutual fund line of business • Analyzed various reports and fund reconciliations to ensure daily NAV’s where accurate for reporting• Reconciled cash with custodian bank• Assisted with reducing NAV reporting errors by 30% and improved daily processes • Prepared financial models and reports (i.e., expenses, net assets, share balances) in excel for management review• Notified portfolio managers and other various business partners of cash transactions• Assisted with month-end close, SOX testing, internal and year-end audit process • Completed daily reconciliations of all balance sheet, income statement accounts and NAV double-checks
