At Avon I was a senior member of the .Net development team; I was responsible for creating and maintaining applications to support the Avon direct selling business. I worked directly with the business understanding their requirements and creating appropriate solutions, on a day to day basis this could involve creating new web applications, enhancing existing applications or production support of the order picking line. Some of the notable applications I worked on include: • Avon Australia Online appointments web/mobile application – for recruiting new Avon representatives. Technologies: Phonegap, jQuery mobile, MVC 4, Web Api, Code first Entity framework, SQL Server, Oracle and DB2, vs unit test, Selenium. • Avon Sales leadership reporting – leadership reports and statements for Avon’s representatives and in-house leadership team. Working closely with overseas teams I developed complex SQL reporting queries and enhanced a supporting web applicationTechnologies: SQL, Html, jQuery, jQueryUI, MVC4, Oracle, DB2, Active Reports • Avon Mailout web application - an in house application allowing targeted emailing to the Avon community. Working as a consultant I was based at the following client sites:MACQUARIE GROUP, Macquarie Private Wealth, Sydney, Australia MPW Website redesign projectThe MPW website project involved a re-style and feature enhancement to an existing website and CMS admin site.The Site was built using ASP.Net 2.0 and used NHibernate for persistence. I was the Development Team leader responsible for two developers.Creating design documents and developing classes to implement the designs. Performing code reviews, Mentoring test driven development using NUnit and NuintASP. Department of Defence, VICTORIA BARRACKS, Sydney, Australia TMP Support System Project Developing enhancements to an existing web application that is used for developing training plans in a specific format required by the Australian Defence Force. The system collected user input in Rich Text Format and created PDF documents and reports.Actively involved in the production release which included the import and translation on data from several legacy databases.MACQUARIE BANK, Macquarie Private Wealth, Sydney, Australia COMBAT and AMR Projects Working on the Combat and AMR Web Applications which are two key systems used by Macquarie for calculating and reporting on Adviser Commissions, the system aggregated data from a trading system and produced Statements and Payroll data files.I was responsible for creating design documents, developing classes to implement the designs, testing and creating production releases.

Working on the Nostro Web application that provided a real time display of account data, the application used XML Data feeds for updating its data. I worked as a Senior J2EE Developer in a team responsible for the Design, Development and Support of the Nostro web application. Data was fed from Servicing Banks via Websphere MQ, where the messages were aggregated within an Oracle database.Author of various documents proposing new features and updates to the existing system. I wrote profiled and streamlined parsers for several Swift MT messages. Created tools for performance analysis and testing of the system using JAXB and XSLT to publish results. Developed PL/SQL stored procedures for high performance, heavily used reporting queries.
