Plant Engineer Responsibilities were to oversee and trouble shoot all rubber molded projects. This also included organizing and starting a process for using specifications and procedures in production. Urethane Manager responsibilities were production, which immediately entailed reducing the high and costly scrap. Within six weeks from when I began the project the losses dropped from 65% to fewer than 5% and four weeks later scrap was under 2%. My main tasks were to establish procedures and specifications for all projects current and past. With many state of the art machines maintenance eventually became my responsibility as well. Implemented safety programs which consisted of eye wear/footwear. Procedures on chemical handling and oven entrance. Responsible for quarterly urine samples for lab testing. Manager of all injection machines included REP rubber injection machines and the Van Dorn plastic injection machine. Managed all employees that worked in those departments.
