I joined the Serious Crime Directorate 7(3) as the Higher Analyst for the intelligence unit which served specialised units including the 'Flying Squads', Middle Market Drugs Project, Kidnap Unit and Central Task Forces. I led a team of analysts and researchers focused on identifying criminal networks (later to be known as OCGs) providing operational analytical support to these pan London units. I was also responsible for producing the command's annual strategic assessment and monthly tactical assessments. I provided analytical support to crimes in action (kidnaps, manhunts) as part of a team who were on-call. Ealing, West London
I joined Ealing Borough intelligence unit as a Crime Analyst and was responsible for providing all elements of analytical support to tactical operations, public order events and tactical assessments for the division commander. I worked on various focus desks including personal robbery and burglary crime providing analysis, operational support and briefings for all teams aligned to these threats.I then became the Higher Analyst for Ealing Borough, leading the analytical services provided by the borough intelligence unit. During this time I helped implement the National Intelligence Model locally and produced Ealing's first ever Strategic Assessment, elements of which were used in the good practise guide for the MPS. During this time I learned valuable management skills relating to diversity through training and supporting my staff, which I continue to use today.
