I am a technical business analyst and developer with 25 years of experience in investment management. Over 4 years of this time was in operations, producing and management checking client reporting and performance figures along with more day to day tasks of authorising cash lending, spot and forward forex.I have spent the last 3.5 years designing, specifying and building a migration database for Invesco along with data feeds from the PORTIA accounting system, trade order management systems and reference data systems which are used to validate, enrich and produce load files for the new accounting platform Eagle Star. I spent the previous 4 years helping design and specify interfaces to extract data from an accounting platform (FMC) into a data warehouse (Eagle Pace), storing the data in a format suitable for use in both client reporting and for stock level performance and attribution using a split methodology calculation. This included allowing for accounting period locks when the source systems did not have lock down functionality and jointly designing the detailed client reporting pack and helping roll out the solution to the UK, Europe and Hong Kong business groups.
