In "At-the-birth" of what became known as credit hire in the late eighties. From a start up company, took the new concept to the streets, growing & managing a UK sales force of ten, responsible for national sales & marketing of pioneer company that grew to £5m turnover in three years. Later, involved in a more compact organisation where co founded the industry trade association for an industry with a collective turnover in excess of £500m. Appointed inaugural Chairman responsible for recruiting committee members from leaders of accident management organisations, Chairing meetings & negotiating with UK insurers at monthly ABI meetings and co formulating the working agreement between insurers and accident management companies going forward. Working with insurance brokers revealed the absence of an insured solution to provide replacement vehicle facilities for the victims of car crime. The result was the creation of the Theft Protect replacement vehicle concept that became the flagship product for Nice 1 Ltd, formed in 2007 to focus solely on the provision of ancillary insurance products for UK insurance brokers.

Engaged initially on a squad focused on investigating domestic & commercial burglary, detecting offences, arresting & processing offenders. Successful attendance at residential CID training course. On local division, engaged in detection of all local crime matters, burglary, car crime, blackmail, serious thefts, offences against the person such as assault, wounding and sexual offences such as indecent assault & rape. Assigned to a number of serious incident room investigations & operations for murder & organised crime.Qualified to supervisory level.
