Responsible for all day-to-day facility operations of three separate data center infrastructures with over 300,000sqft, 40MW of power, and all of its associated equipment and personnel. I ensure all critical equipment is properly maintained while maintaining fiscal responsibility of projects and required maintenance practices. Mentoring and developing Lead Engineers and Technicians to manage a best in portfolio facility.Including:Developing maintenance programs that deliver 99.999% uptime, with significant reductions in maintenance costs. Developing equipment operating schemes that reduce energy costs and minimize equipment failures. Developed numerous energy efficiency projects that will have saved over $300,000 in energy costs in the first year alone. By working with Oncore to assist in reducing the costs of any project cost, it will reduce payback period for any project immensely. Improving upon systems that were designed to reliably deliver power and cooling, and still make those systems retain their reliability and make the operate at a fraction of the cost even with equipment 15 years old. The transformation of the facility to a best in class data center showcases not only operational expertise, but in the development of a quality team of personnel to manage it has been what I am most proud of.

Responsible for planning, maintenance, and documentation of IDC operations and associated mission critical infrastructures toward the economy and maximum utilization of facilities, equipment, and contract resources. I ensure effective oversight of all contractor activity and maintain fiscal responsibility of projects and required maintenance practices.Including:Developing energy efficiency projects for the next calendar year (as well as fine tuning the existing systems for maximum efficiency and reliability) with strong business cases and working with the utility provider to reduce these project costs via rebates to a 1.5 year payback period with an IRR >70% and NPV over $3,000,000 for 10-year lifespan on improvements. I project PUE to go from roughly 1.90 in warm months and 1.6 in cooler months to a final PUE of 1.5 in warm months and 1.35 in cooler months. Furthermore, finding ways to increase efficiency without fundamentally changing systems built around first cost and reliability is something I am very proud of. The benefits of accomplishing this at low cost will be significant to our business and extremely significant for the KPIs of success at our location.
