My role is the intermediary between the business and Quilters third parties FNZ, HCL, Deloitte and OKTA; articulating requirements and mapping specifications specifically on Customer, User Authentication/Authorisation and Portfolio entities to FNZ One/X-Hub and OKTA. I am also involved in defining and developing via SQL the Data Quality and Reconciliation requirements to ensure smooth transition from source to target.

I worked on the OVAL programme of work which involved creating a new front end portal for customers and advisers on OPENDOOR and delivering back office savings on BLUEDOOR and PERCANA. The role was to understand the scope of the Heritage and Wealth business data that is to be migrated to the OPENDOOR web portal encompassing User, Client, Adviser, Policy and Portfolios. Development of Business Requirements and Mapping documents and engagement with 5 Third Parties based in Melbourne(DST), Cape Town (GET), Basildon (IFDS), Capita (London) and Chennai (HCL), co-ordinating their activity, whilst facing and impact assessing regular strategic challenges from senior management were my primary roles. The project was cancelled May 2017.

For this role I worked on the £90 million sale of the Finland book of business (85K plans) to a Finnish Bank (OP-Pohjola), split into 2 distinct parts, the Part VII Transfer for the first year and the Data migration for the following 2 years: These roles involved:-• Capturing and documenting the Strategy papers for the Part VII Transfer, Transitional Services and Data Migration along with defining the Part VII Transfer Business Requirements via workshops and walkthroughs with the business and our IT provider HCL. This impacted Finance, Investment Admin, Operations and IT and involved Re-branding Skandia paper, e-media and the underlying database, changes to JDE and Nordea (Direct Debit processes), along with restricting user access and generating data extracts for the price mechanism adjustments. • Following the Part VII Transfer I led the Data Migration activity, engaging in workshops with the Finnish bank to define and document the Data Mapping rules. I was then involved in developing the ETL logic using SQL Server, defined the reconciliation and audit requirements ensuring that the migration was controlled and worked within pre-defined tolerances and captured the De-Commissioning and archiving requirements for the old iSeries(AS400) platform for HCL to manage. We successfully migrated 85K clients and plan details along with relating history within 20 months.

London/Andover I was assigned to the Retail Integration Change project where 35 million customers and their relating accounts were to be migrated from HBOS to Lloyds TSB to create a Lloyd’s Banking Group entity. My role primarily focused on the Banking Operations Design aspect, which involved: -Defining the SIPOCS Target Operating Model which captured the Process Location(s), Brands, FTE and kit.Documenting the E2E Process Designs using Visio and swim lanes for each process that will represent the Lloyds Banking Group Model after integration. Facilitated workshops, walking the Stakeholders and SME's through the relevant process design documentation that then ultimately fed into the relating Training, Testing and Implementation work streams. Impact Assessed any Change Requests across Banking Operations that could have a detrimental affect to any of these processes at integration.

Staines At Bupa I worked again for the Kognitio Consultancy, working on the Financial Reconciliation surrounding the Data Migration and Transformation of Bupas Groups and Members from 2 Legacy systems to Swift. This involved:-Capturing requirements from the finance/accountancy departments within Bupa via one to one interviews and workshopsWriting reconciliation documentation and SQL that generated reports that ultimately fed into the Financial dashboard. Fully tested all stages of the migration from Extract through to Load via SQL and Quality Centre. We successfully migrated at the end of July 2009.

SouthamptonAt Skandia I was assigned to the Data Migration project, working with the third party vendor (HCL) to define Business Requirements for the transformation of Brokers, ISA's, PEP's and MultiFunds from several Legacy AS400 databases to a Siebel CRM application via an EIM Load. My role involved:-Holding workshops with the Business to ascertain requirements, creating Gap Analysis specifications and writing Process Mapping specifications detailing Use Cases and UML. Writing SQL using SQL Server to perform Data Analysis on Source and Target data to establish Data Values and Integrity Creation of Data Mapping grids and Data Mapping documents detailing Record Creation RulesWriting the ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) SQL Assisting the requirements and development of the necessary reconciliation and audit Writing test plans, executing the tests accordingly using SQL and Quality Centre and implementation. We successfully migrated mid-December 2008.

SwindonThis was a Business Change E-Commerce role, where I primarily worked on the Client Aggregation project that displayed an aggregated view of all a clients policies (ISA's, Bonds, PEP's, SIA's) on the Extranet, allowing the IFA to create portfolios and perform maintenance across all policies at client level, e.g. switches. The role involved: -Gathering Business requirements via workshops and one to one interviewsCreating Requirements Documentation detailing UML and Use Cases, Visio Process flows and creating User Test plans.Presenting the documentation back to the business

Bracknell and BirminghamThis consultancy specialised in Data Migrations from legacy systems to preferred Client platforms, and I was assigned to the migration of Wesleyans two legacy systems (Lamda and OB) onto the Clients ODMS database for Term Assurance, critical Illness and Income Protection Policies. My role as a Business Analyst was to:-Create Gap Analysis and Functional Specifications from the client (Wesleyan) via workshops on client siteCreate Data Mapping and Record Creation rules written in pseudo code. Data Analysis and Data Integrity checks were then performed and Field Level mappings defined.Once developed and implemented by a Third Party, full system testing on the target platform using SQL and Test Director was conducted.

At HBOS in Aylesbury I worked on Client Output documentation changes for Pensions Legislation (A-Day), and for rationalising the structure of the existing Life and Pensions companies within HBOS Financial Services. This role involved:-Exposure to the typical life cycle of, gathering requirements from the business to create functional specifications detailing the change involvedDrafting of end to end Process diagrams using Visio followed by walkthroughs

For the term of this contract I was involved in the full life cycle, of gathering requirements, providing estimates, designing, developing, testing and supporting all of the Financial Services E-Commerce related interfaces between the Capsil mainframe and the Web front end used by the IFA's and secure users using MQ Series. The role involved:- Writing Functional Design solutions using V-Model designs to minimise impact on existing Capsil mainframe functionalityAnalysis/development (COBOL,CICS) work on CapsilLiaising with the front end Webs analysts (Third Party - Wipro) and the Business via Workshops Exposure to front-end ASP's and XML, Middleware MQ Series and Entirex Broker plus CRM and OCDB customer management databases.The Pru now provides the following functions for Pensions and Bonds through the Web, using Capsil as the back end mainframe engine, all of which I was involved in from inception to completion: - New Business submissions and illustrations(EDI) , Top Ups submissions and illustrations, Valuations, Fund servicing, Income servicing, Bank changes servicing, automatic in-forcing and payment via a Debit Card, all via the net through an IFA, Portal or a Secure user.

Edinburgh Based at the Scottish Equitable client site I worked as a Business analyst for Unisys. The project involved customising Unisure to accommodate Scottish Equitable's Performance Bond product. The role involved:-Running workshops to gather requirementsDrafting of Requirements specifications and walkthroughs of the relating specificationsCreating High Level design and Process Mapping specificationsUser testing all customisations made to Unisure via Quality Centre.

Within this role I was involved in writing Business Functional specifications for a data migration from a Legacy system to the Capsil mainframe for Irish Life based in St Albans. I worked on:-Understanding Data Integrity issues and requirementsWriting the Data Dictionary documentation of all source and target data itemsData Mapping specifications detailing the Extract, Transform and Load to the target Capsil system

Involvement in writing specifications and program code due to enhancements required to the current Capsil system. This involved CICS on-line and batch program changes for projects such as new Pension Plans, Millennium enhancements and Cobol conversion from COBOL I to COBOL/370. Write Technical Specifications and code for the Migration of an in-house Prudential system to Capsil. The main skills used were COBOL, CICS, DB2 and VSAM, using TSO/ISPF.

My first role as a Business Analyst, I was involved in developing Sun Life Of Canada's new life insurance system, CAPSIL, by producing Business Requirements and Specifications that integrated user requirements with CAPSIL system functionality.During the lifecycle of a typical CAPSIL project, I would consult the user on the enhancement, assess its feasibility and thus create the necessary Requirements Specification. Once agreed and signed off, I would then be involved in creating User test plans and fully testing these accordingly.In the final two years at Sun Life of Canada I cross-trained to become an Analyst Programmer at Sun Life of Canada, and gained valuable experience in writing Program Specifications, Test Plans, code and updating relevant Data Dictionaries. I was also involved in building JCL for test and production systems, dealing with production abends and advising users on system functionality. Extensive knowledge was gained using COBOL/370, DB2, CICS, CAPSIL and MTEXT. I was involved in several projects that underwent the full lifecycle, from analysing Business Specifications, creating Technical and Program Specifications, creating System Test plans, coding, testing the code, user acceptance and finally installation.
