Current position:* Facilitate technical, engineering requirements needed for Light Rail and Commuter Rail vehicle maintenance. * Create technical drawings, standard procedures, memos to assist in upgrades or new replacement parts. * Work with Commuter Rail management to upgrade and improve vehicle reliability, while maintaining FRA regulations and compliance.* Respond to critical needs for information or equipment failure* Update older light rail bulletins, memos, FMIs and SOPs * Create tracking reports on various component and measurement standards* Involved in preparations for the 2016 local Rail Rodeo * Use of 32+ years of total experience at UTA as mechanic,Bus Maintenance Supervisor, Light Rail Supervision, and 9 years as Light Rail Maintenance Manager to assist in new position * Developing skills in the use of Solid Works 3D (CAD) Program

Jordan River Rail Service Center

Current position:* Manage the component overhaul program for Siemens SD100, 160 and S70 vehicles. Manage the start up of all rebuild shops.*Create shop plans, scope of work and processes involving quarter, mid, and three quarter life rebuild programs.* Lead a group of Supervisors and Electro - mechanics through the start up of a new Division for component overhaul*Participated in shop design in 1998* Supervised maintenance during the opened of the firstTrax Light Rail System in the greater Salt Lake City area in 1999 and the University line opening in 2001 * Supervised the maintenance of 40 vehicle through the 2002 Winter Olympics* Supervised and Managed the upgrades and maintenance of 29 UTDC vehicles* During the past seven year I have managed all aspects maintenance at Midvale with a current fleet of 69 vehicle* Actively involved in the North American Light Rail User's during my seven year tenure as Maintenance Manager.* Member of the Steering Commitee within the Light Rail User's Group. * LRV Maintenence Manager from September 2006 to February 2014*Worked on the capital projects for the midlife overhaul of the Siemens SD100 and SD160 vehicles, assisted with RFP for proposed work and selection review. * Managed the coupler and pantograph rebuild area and several upgrade and improvement campigns* Involved in the implimentation of the Lean Management Program, ISO 9001 Quality and Performance Management System (QPMS) and ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management System (EMS) certifications.This is my 30th year of working in the Maintenance Department within Bus and Light Rail for Utah Transit Autthority.

Midvale Rail Service Center

Managed all day to day maintenance of 40 Siemens vehicle, personnel, and budget. Ensure vehicles were cleaned and maintained properly with appropriate numbers of trains prepared daily for mainline service.

I worked as a bus mechanic for eight years prior to accepting a Maintenance Supervisor position and Supervised in two Division for five years.

Sal Lake City

Service and repaired gasoline and diesel commercial trucks. Warranty repair on Freightliner and Western Star trucks and all makes of vehicle needing repair.
