Oversee the development of Walmart’s most visible brand-building assets, bringing “Save money. Live better.” to life via television (500+ unique executions), radio, print, and digital. Develop communication strategy for the Walmart brand plus every Walmart category, providing finished assets for Walmart’s $800MM+ annual media spend. Direct six primary advertising/digital agencies, working with over 200 individuals to shape industry-recognized creative. Creative output acknowledged with Nielsen’s Top 10 Most-Liked, Most-Recalled New TV spots fifteen times, USA Today’s 2008 Holiday Campaign of the Year, Retail Advertising and Marketing Association’s 2009 Top Holiday Retail Spot/Campaign, besting Best Buy, Gap, Old Navy, and Target for the first time since the survey began. Work significantly contributed to being named AdAge’s 2009 “Runner Up” Marketer of the Year and Radio Mercury Awards Marketer of the Year Finalist 2009.Architected a cross-agency collaboration model, challenging accepted industry practices-- experiment led to breakthrough co-equity partnership work between Walmart/Coke, Walmart/P&G, and Walmart/Dove, among others.
