It was always bad news any time he wanted to meet all of us at “The Joint” I hadn’t been awake long enough to wake up but that didn’t matter. Duty called, and with that I threw on my favorite overcoat, grabbed my half empty coffee cup and headed out the door. I was the first to arrive, grabbed a cup of coffee, and looked around at the unfamiliar faces around me. It surprised me so many people would come to a place like this. How could so many people find it anyway? Why would you want to find it?The place we called “The Joint” was in the most dangerous part of all New Orleans. It sat on a corner lot next to an old warehouse with broken windows and a “No Trespassing” sign. “The Joint” was overlooked by everyone, including the police.The making of a 53 year old idiotThere is a fifth dimension beyond which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of mans fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination.
