Directly responsible for all CRE portfolio due diligence on a national basis. Emphasis on CMBS B-Piece due diligence. Working to build a sophisticated team of professionals offering due diligence services to Investment Banks, National Banks, Private Investors, Individuals, and Government, with national coverage.

Consultant providing Credit Administration Underwriting services for new credits reporting directly to the Chief Credit Officer and Senior Executives at the Bank. Additional part of the Special Asset team working on the management and disposition of classified assets. During this time Classified assets were decreased in excess of $20MM.

Manager of Special Assets DepartmentResponsibilities include management all loans assigned to the Special Assets Department of the Bank. This includes establishing the disposition strategies, including workout structures, foreclosures, litigation management and recommendations, bankruptcy management and collateral liquidation. Other responsibilities include interfacing with the FDIC on annual examinations. From early 2009 to the beginning of 2011 I performed the same duties listed above but as a full time consultant to the bank under my company Blair Consulting.

CMBS Underwriter. Responsible for underwriting subordinate bond investments on CMBS transactions from 2003 to 2010. Reponsibilities include the detemination of default risk of various CMBS loans and adjustments in determining the purchase price of subordinate first loss CMBS transactions.

Primary leadership role of the Portfolio Services Group including establishing the engagement scope with the client and supervision of supporting junior staff and contractors. Other duties included advising clients on workout strategies of troubled loans, commercial real estate loan portfolio acquisitions, corporate acquisitions of REITs and other commercial real estate related entities, and real estate bulk sale dispositions. Additional responsibilities included primary advisor on all ABS transactions for Andersen Korea, mergers and acquisitions of large Korean companies as well as advising on other international debt restructurings.

Head of Southern California Development Equity Joint Ventures. Essex which was a subsidiary of Marcus and Millichap and now morphed into Essex Property Trust. The company was organized to fund real estate joint ventures. My role was to establish operations in Southern California and evaluate and recommend real estate development joint ventures.

Bracton Corporation a self-liquidating company (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Midland Bank plc) was one of the first bad bank attempts in the US. Midland Bank plc formed Bracton Corporation based on the acquisition of Crocker Bank in 1986 by Wells Fargo Bank. My role was to liquidate and/or workout a portfolio of large commercial and residential real estate construction finance projects that were excluded from the assets purchased by Wells Fargo Bank.

Vice President - Construction Finance Workout Specialist. Positions in the Bank included Operations Supervisor, Lending Officer and Construction Finance Workout Specialist. Significant accomplishments included the disposition and/or loan restructure (workout) of over $250 million of residential and commercial real estate construction projects.
