Nomad Housing Group is a major provider in the North East region. During my time as Chief Executive the organisation always made healthy financial surpluses and the size of the stock trebled. They had the largest development programme in the region (for nine years running) and performance across a range of housing management standards was excellent. They gained and retained the Investors in People Award.

Carlisle City was a progressive social landlord with stock of 10,000 units being the regional capital of Cumbria. The Department delivered a comprehensive housing service to both the public and private sectors. An effective enabling policy was enthusiastically developed. The centralised alarm system attracted business from a number of other users.
