I joined Blue Light in 2001 when I formed the Tatura Blue Youth Club. This was an initative to reduce crime and give young people a positive environment to work in and to have access to positive role models.I became Junior Vice President of the Victoria State Council on 2004. I was elected President of the State Council in 2005 and remained in that position until I resigned in 2014. I was also President and Chair of International Blue Light from 2011 to 2014.

After leaving school I managed to be employed/self employed in 22 different permanent jobs and a other part-time jobs. I spent about 10 years as an Interstate Truck Driver for a number of Trucking Companies including Alpens Transport Griffith, Sprys Transport Griffith, Mills Transport Lismore and RM & EM Taylor Transport Goolgowi. I also drove trucks locally in Griffith, Shepparton, and operated a cement mixer on the Gold Coast for about a year.I have also worked as a farm hand, car salesman, power tools salesman, timberyard worker, handyman and plaster board fixer.I joined the Victoria Police Force in 1987 and worked in many sections including Uniform several large stations including Richmond, Collingwood, Shepparton and Werribee. I was a Dertective at Werribee for many years. I was the Officer in Charge of the Balmoral Police Station, the Raywood Police Station, the Tatura Police Station and I currently hold the position of Officer in Charge of the Queenscliff Police Station. I am currently doing project work at the Geelong Police Station and managing our Restaurant and Food Van.
