Advocates for Athletes is a coaching and mentoring business that educates and guides student athletes and their families through the college recruiting process with the ultimate goal of obtaining a college athletic scholarship and or admission into a college of the athletes choice because of their sport.Totally unique because of one-on-one consultations, Steve and or his team explains the recruiting process, teaches families how to realistically access their child’s level of talent, and provides a personalized game plan which includes researching and developing a target list of colleges, how to market the athlete and how to communicate with coaches, goal setting techniques to achieve the end all goal and continued guidance through the entire process.As a former college athlete and parent of a recruited collegiate basketball player, Steve understands what it is like to go through the college recruiting process. He has been in and around sports his entire life - including an over twenty-five year career in the athletic club industry - and coached in one capacity or another for more than 17 years.. Steve has a passion for sports and helping athletes reach their potential and finding their "best fit" school.A4A is now working with over 700 High School Athletes from 17 different states in 20 different sports and has helped athletes into over 400 different colleges and universities around the country.
