The last four years covered a diverse role encompassing responsibility for IT Operations across the Asia Pacific region. With a team ultimately comprising 23 staff supporting approximately 2000 users, 180 servers in 32 locations spread across 11 countries, services were provided in the areas of Desktop Support, Server Support, Messaging, Internal Telephony and Billing Infrastructure Support. In addition, a Help Desk function was provided via an on-line e-help system. Projects undertaken during this period included:Providing the infrastructure to support the expansion of the offices in India. Sites include Bangalore, New Delhi, Mumbai, and Chennai. Integration of the Cybertrust business in Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore, comprising 210 staff, their servers and PCs into the Verizon standard operating environment. Subsequently replaced all of their PCs and decommissioned their server environment. Setting up the standard operating environment for the Manila NOC including the PCs and Servers. Created a team of support engineers to provide on-site support coverage to an installation that has subsequently grown to comprise 600 users operating 16 hours 7 days per week. Creation of the physical hardware, software and communications infrastructure and support staff, to support the regional billing systems. The existing outsourced production environment was seamlessly migrated with no loss of functionality and no down downtime to the end users.
