About Steve Christopher

Since working for the past 26 years with the City of Chicago & OEMC it has utilized my knowledge that I have gained throughout the years starting at Fleet Management. They asked me to move from my roll from working in the field to revamping the warehousing and procurement dept for the Fire Alarm Office. Also, to facilitate daily service calls for the Police and Fire infrastructure, and safety inspections on all critical equipment. I was made responsible for the wellbeing and safety of the crews working in the guideline of OSHA. Other responsibilities range from inventory and equipment maintenance management to administering a variety of key task such as maintaining vehicle insurance and permits being a liaison for Fleet Management. I also maintain a database of all Police, OEMC and aldermanic cameras installed and on hand. Working closely with contracted vendors to the maintain warranty returns and claims. Over the years, I have gained hands on knowledge of all types of linework. From copper and fiber cabling including #10 wire in house phone. From terminating to splicing, troubleshooting and testing. The use of multiple types of testing equipment. Including all ground and aerial hardware used for installation. Another strong point is our mobile camera trailer fleet, from 360 to PTZ cameras and setting up LPRs. Learned hands on from Motorola how to maintain, troubleshoot and fix each unit with efficiency.
