I am excited to let the whole Solar Team know that I have retired as of January 31, 2024. Pardon the delays in this retirement announcement. The world may spin like a broken record, but the variation is that record's speed; just keeping up is my challenge.It will be a long time before the memories I have gathered over the past 29 years fade. I am finally beginning to understand what ONE TEAM really means. I very much miss working with Solar's global team, from those I would work with every day to those I never met in-person.I am grateful for surviving the peak of the COVID years and how collaboration with CAT served to expand both our support needs and demands. The many lessons learned, like the endless search to explain why the urgency of hi-tech approaches are often best solved with the intuitive peace of simply waiting.To prove I have learned something let me stop here. As usual I have neglected to thank the one human that has taught me daily that there is always an exception. Toil has much as you can, but your job will never be satisfactory. Develop, coordinate and manage processes for the implementation of Remote Monitoring and Diagnostics (RMD). Support directly the enablement process both remotely and on site. Extensive use of databases (Oracle), Solar’s HMI (TT4000), PLCs (Allen-Bradley), RSLogix (Rockwell Automation) controllers and various analytic tools (Matlab), and both network and modem techniques were necessary to meet these objectives (DSL, Satellite, Custom Solutions).

Negotiate (with Customer, management, suppliers and engineering) and implement custom control system designs for industrial turbine applications.Specialized in the developement and sustainment of lube systems, predictive emissions monitoring, line synchronization, fuel control and motor starting analysis.Commissioning support from the home office as well as international on-site troubleshooting.

Designed and sustained guidance and naviation software and systems for unmanned autonomous vehicles used for tactical reconnaissance and targeting.Developed and sustained dynamic simulations for hardware-in-the-loop analysis & testing.Provided on-site design reviews and field support at customer proving grounds.

Integrated a video tracking system with an off-the-shelf tracking mount to create an automatic tracking mount for range testing applications.Developed analysis tools for theater level engagement simulations used for the evaluation of emerging technologies, damage assessment and logistic analysis. Extensive us of statistical analysis and Monte Carlo methods.Developed a relational database management system, generic modeling tools, numerical and statistical analysis tools.Gave briefings at customer sites for design reviews.

Part-time apprentice in custom connector (SMA, BNC, TypeN etc) machining, assembly, drafting and testing.
