Retained when Wabash Alloys was purchased in 2007 by this $4B supplier of aluminum products to builders and die casters; the $1B subsidiary division services die casters in the auto industry with multiple locations in the U.S. , Canada and Mexico.Charged with generating and publishing the weekly “Plant Load” that serves as the Master Production Schedule (MPS) for a 2 month horizon. Work with plants in Wabash IN, Coldwater MI, Steele AL, Mississauga ON, and Monclova, Mexico. Since 2009 also generate, publish, and update daily furnace schedules for 4 plants with a 6 week horizon sent out on weekly basis. Review and approve RFQs, alerting sales if production can meet schedules and which plant will be handling the production. Manage delivery schedules from Chrysler, GM, and Honda. Adjust capacity and manage inventory ensuring frequent delivery schedule changes don’t negatively impact world-class On Time In Full numbers while shipping 2.8K line items monthly with volume of 60M to 65M pounds, and 200 to 250 distinct end items, a combination of chemical specification and product form.•Earnings per pound consistently increased year-over-year: 4.9 cents per pound in 2011, from 4.2 in 2010, and 1.8 in 2009.•On Time in Full metric for 2011 - 99.6%Declined relocation package Feb 2012. Instituted cohesive planning process that automated monthly plant loading for 14 locations. Utilized SAS, AspenTech MIMI, and JD Edwards to create lowest cost optimizer that considered scrap chemistry, finished goods chemistry, scrap cost, scrap purchasing constraints, lane rates, and furnace capacities for a business where margins were slim and the bill of material was not static.•Slashed Finished Goods Inventory over 3years from 43.3M pounds in 2000 to 22.4 M pounds by 2003.

Managed Production Control staff of 10 in three corporate locations in Michigan. Responsible for all corporate inventories , order release, shipping and product flow. Reduced Charlevoix late order count from 350 to 27 in 14 months. Notable improvements in on time delivery and inventory turns realized. Reduced cumulative manufacturing leadtime from 11 weeks to 3 weeks for Mio Plant.
