Operational management and application support of the Trusts bespoke IT systems including infrastructure specification, configuration, build and coordination of software deployments to test, UAT and production. Management, escalation, and coordination of support incidents with infrastructure, network, security, development, and business teams. Management of the bespoke applications High Availability SQL servers. Development of PowerShell and SQL database scripts to assist with deployment, capacity planning, issue investigation and support.

Application support of the Trusts bespoke IT systems including the configuration, build, and deployment of software to test, UAT and production. The preparation and presentation of change requests to the Hospital CAB. The configuration and maintenance of the trusts bespoke service monitoring solution and the development of PowerShell probes to monitor the trusts infrastructure and application performance.

Management of the company support function including internal software licensing, Infrastructure maintenance and upgrade, capacity planning and business continuity planning. The development of database queries and support utilities to assist client business support and reporting teams. The management of change control processes and all aspects of configuration management. The coordination of software release or hardware upgrades to internal or external client environments. The real-time monitoring and alerting of internal infrastructure and client application related infrastructure. The maintenance and support of the company’s internal software build process. The submission of client requests for change (RFC) and attendance of client change approval board (CAB) and technical approval board (TAB) meetings as and when required.

Management of IS team including, staff scheduling, performance management, training and development, management and staff utilisation reporting, meeting with business users to determine requirements, infrastructure design and implementation, capacity planning, monitoring of finance systems infrastructure and the management of third party suppliers.

Management of IT Team, management of IT objectives, Support Desk, infrastructure support , software support, capacity planning / upgrading computer systems, identification and selection of hardware and software and management of the IT budget.

Management of high priority strategic projects and IT initiatives specified by the IT director.

Management of the software development team, Requirements specification, Functional Specification and release management of the companies bespoke computer systems, configuration and maintenance of the mainframes communications subsystem and management of the head office Novell network.
