As head of the Data and Analytics Program for enterprises and industry verticals at AWS, I have the exciting opportunity to help Fortune 500 / Global 2000 customer shape and drive their data and analytics journeys; create breakthrough insights by linking together previously isolated data sets and unlock new ways of identifying patterns and opportunities across them. I work closely with cross-functional global teams: program management, business development, sales, marketing, professional services, solution architecture, product management and partner ecosystem management (consulting and software partners).

Based in Dublin (Ireland) with responsibility for Accenture's internal Analytics Platform and Advanced Analytics Studio. It is a massively exciting role; driving Accenture's transformation to an intelligent enterprise:- The Data Platform – defining the vision and leadership of the architecture of the data platform. The teams are comprised of highly specialized architects working with the Hadoop ecosystem – both real-time (Kafka, NiFi, Storm, Cassandra) to batch (HDFS, Hive, Spark).- Advanced Analytics Studio – from data analysis through to deep learning; responsible for the team defining and delivering the strategic priorities for Accenture’s adoption of natural language processing, prediction, anomaly detection and explainable AI (R, Python, Anaconda).- Visualizations – bringing advanced visualizations (vendor and custom) and ad-hoc capabilities to our users in order to support insight discovery (Qlik, D3.js). - Cloud Operations – as a 100% cloud architecture, we are deeply engaged with multiple providers (Amazon, Azure and Accenture) in our global operations.- Vendor Management – managing the relationship with strategic vendors in the analytics space (traditional and open source).- Delivery – working with Accenture's global network of experts (our Global Delivery Network, Accenture Analytics, Tech Labs and the Dublin Center for Innovation).

As part of a dual role (with Reporting and Analytics), I am based in Dalian (China) leading up our efforts to grow demand and delivery capability in our China Delivery Center (Dalian and Shanghai). This role is enormously varied; ranging from building the demand pipeline, fulfillment, capability growth and oversight for all the project and operations work we conduct from the locations.

Clients included EMI Music (Media and Entertainment), Global Crossing (Communications), Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (Media and Entertainment) and British American Tobacco (Consumer Products).
