At Cornell University, as CMS (Compact Muon Solenoid) Managing Director, I am responsible for stewarding the largest National Science Foundation award at the university of $88 million, to construct the High Luminosity Upgrades to the Large Hadron Collider at CERN Switzerland. My role focuses on financial controls, project administration, partnership, collaboration, and communication. I am in charge of supporting a total of 32 subaward institutions and universities across the United States, working on one of the most innovative scientific projects towards new discoveries in particle physics.I also serve as board member and managing director at ARORA Solutions LLC as a consultant, project manager and lead auditor. We are focused on building up organizations, developing talent and providing world-class audit services. For 2025, we are scaling up our ISO 42001 (AI), cyber security, and privacy information management capabilities for international firms. The world is changing with regard to tech, and we want to ensure your business can effectively protect people, information, systems, and assets. Working with CISOs and top management in medium to large IT, healthcare, finance, and manufacturing companies, Steve and his team have supported and audited firms with the goal of achieving ISO 42001 and 27001 Certification and successfully implemented information security management systems. I also have a wide array of experience in technical, audit, consulting and development contract engagements. I've supported marketing and sales efforts to expand global certification, auditing and laboratory services for NSF International.Past Development Work:Serving two years as Peace Corps volunteers in one of the most remote villages in the South Pacific, Steve worked in community development, identifying social and technical barriers and creating compassionate solutions to overcome these obstacles for the benefit of all stakeholders. I worked with communities, government, NGOs, and companies in the Pacific. Successfully mobilized a community of 500 people and endured great physical and logistical challenges, worked deeply embedded at the grassroots level, empowering villagers on infrastructure, socio-economic, health, business, and educational projects. Dedicated college years to volunteer activities for developing business models and practical ways to fight water and sanitation issues in impoverished countries.
