At Cornell University, as CMS (Compact Muon Solenoid) Managing Director, I am responsible for stewarding the largest National Science Foundation award at the university of $88 million, to construct the High Luminosity Upgrades to the Large Hadron Collider at CERN Switzerland. I've supported marketing and sales efforts to expand global certification, auditing and laboratory services for NSF International.Past Development Work:Serving two years as Peace Corps volunteers in one of the most remote villages in the South Pacific, Steve worked in community development, identifying social and technical barriers and creating compassionate solutions to overcome these obstacles for the benefit of all stakeholders. I worked with communities, government, NGOs, and companies in the Pacific. Successfully mobilized a community of 500 people and endured great physical and logistical challenges, worked deeply embedded at the grassroots level, empowering villagers on infrastructure, socio-economic, health, business, and educational projects. Dedicated college years to volunteer activities for developing business models and practical ways to fight water and sanitation issues in impoverished countries.
