I was a member of PwC’s risk and assurance services practice for 17 years, and occupied several roles in that time. Initially, I worked as a business process and controls specialist, which included assisting clients in preparing clients for Sarbanes Oxley, before moving into technology assurance. This gave me exposure to IT internal audit and projects as well as systems implementations and the configuration of ERP systems such as Oracle and JD Edwards. I continued in this area, spending a further seven years working exclusively in the government and public sector with high profile central government organisations. More recently, I moved into the data assurance space, focusing on insurance clients and assisting them with meeting Solvency II regulatory requirements around data quality and underlying data governance processes. Now as a Director at BDO I am responsible for leading the IT Internal Audit function across financial services. I have also taken a lead role in delivering operational resilience consulting services to clients, assisting them with designing and implementing responses to the regulatory requirements. Specialties: IT Internal Audit, Solvency II Data Management, Technology Assurance, Business Process and Controls, Operational Resilience and Crisis Management
