About Steve Diaz

Steve Diaz is a business executive with significant experience in sales, business/asset management, operations, mergers & acquisitions, development and finance in waste solutions, energy, engineering services and manufacturing environments. Currently Steve serves as Senior Vice President for Loureiro Engineering Associates, Incorporated, a full service engineering firm with wholly owned construction services, vertical building and waste brokering subsidiaries. With locations throughout the east coast, Loureiro provides customers with an integrated portfolio of vertically integrated services, complete solutions and business development opportunities. Prior to Loureiro Engineering Associates, Steve served as Vice President of Sales for Covanta Corporation, a diversified waste solutions & energy management company. During his 23 years with Covanta, Steve’s responsibilities included leading the national sales team initiatives which encompassed providing customers with sustainable solutions for their total waste management while managing their risk. He was also instrumental in developing and expanding Covanta's asset base through acquisitions, new business development and partnerships. Before Steve’s sales leadership position, he was the Northeast Regional Vice President, managing energy-from-waste operations/performance while broadening O&M agreements with municipalities, utilities and state & local public authorities. During Steve’s 23 years with Covanta, he also held positions of Domestic Controller, Corporate Director of Business Management/M&A and Asset Manager.Steve started his career working for Dorr-Oliver Incorporated, an international manufacturer of liquid/solid separation and fluid bed combustion equipment. As Director of Finance, Steve had fiduciary responsibility for all entities, strengthening the business by acquiring, expanding and divesting assets. Steve was the project leader for mergers & acquisitions due diligence efforts for all European acquisitions.Steve earned an MBA & BS from the University of Bridgeport and is a member of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. He is also on numerous boards and associations and was an Adjunct Faculty Member at the University of Bridgeport where he taught various courses in Mergers & Acquisitions, Business Management and Finance.Steve resides in Connecticut and has been married to his wife, Patti for 30 years. They have twins, Kevin and Tricia.
