Challenging people to do their best, coaching them to develop personally and professionally, empowering them to make decisions, recognizing and rewarding results, aligning them to the company vision and finally committing to a personal development plan that may well see them move beyond their current environment.I believe people need to enjoy coming to work, a large part of job satisfaction is about the personal and business interaction that comes from being part of a team. Never under estimate the value of fun and laughter in the work place. I'm inquisitive, I ask questions and I listen. I embrace change as it appeals to my competitive nature and a need to innovate to stay ahead of the competition. I am a strategic thinker and believe in the philosophy that we need to place the customer's interests at the centre of our business. Technology is driving rapid change across industries making it far easier for customers to make informed choices across multiple suppliers. To standout and respond effectively to technically literate and knowledgeable customers requires significant change within business. Customer loyalty can no longer be relied upon as changing a business relationship is far easier. To foster customer long term relationships requires business to focus on consistently delivering customer satisfaction.Good decisions require good data. I use management dashboards to monitor the successful implementation of strategy and identify future areas for change. Business leadership also requires time spent away from the desk. Listening to staff, customers, suppliers and stakeholders is an essential part of gathering intelligence and reinforcing company vision and business objectives. I've been trained to lead multiple business units but I am particularly proud of my achievements in the areas distribution and project management.
