About Steve Dobson

An experienced Non Executive Director, Board Advisor and Trustee with a background in chemicals and high tech materials. Retired in 2021 from a €10B Chemicals Company, where I had been serving as Head of the “Electronics Business” - a more than €220M turnover speciality chemicals business, with five business lines and 14 plants around the world – and returned to the UK, having lived the previous 31 years in Germany, Singapore, Belgium, South Korea and Taiwan. Now serving in a number of part-time roles including as a Non-Executive Director in Fluorok Ltd, Nexeon Ltd and the Tullis Russell Group. A member of the Audit and Risk Committee of the IChemE and a Governor and Council member at the University of Chester. First hand experience in start ups / spin outs, funding rounds, investor engagement, lab to pilot to full plant scale up, commercialisation and internationalisation.A Chartered Engineer, Chartered Scientist and Fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers, with professional Post Graduate Diplomas from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, MIT Sloan (Advanced Senior Management Program) and Pearson FT (Non-Executive Directors Diploma). Equally at home in EU, US and Asian business cultures.
