The strategy also included the hiring of 1-2 Regional Sales Directors within the Southern California area during the first half of 2014.

Also responsible for the recruiting, hiring and training of new Regional Sales Director’s as Assurant expands into additional market areas. 80% of the time is spent in the field with these Sales Director’s and their agents. Provided weekly input to the Senior Management in order to help them manage Assurant Health to grow sales revenues and transition through health care reform. These areas of input include providing field sales intelligence, competitive market and product analysis, along with new product pricing, benefit design and sales and marketing materials development.

Steve was the Assurant Regional Sales Director for AK, CO, ID, MT, WA & WY. His responsibilities included working with and managing the successful sales results of over 3,000 independent General Agents and brokers for the delivery of Assurant's individual medical, self-funded group and Supplement products.
