Partnered with attorney Robert Carey on a judgment collection and financial investigation firm. Taking cases that require both legal acumen and gumshoeing get-it-done mindset. Specializing in large-dollar collection cases against debtors that hide assets in the US and abroad.

Launched and managed the judgment collection program. Leader/legal advisor/teacher/brainstormer to 200+ line attorneys and investigators in all phases of enforcement litigation –financial investigations, discovery, negotiation, trial preparation, and judgment enforcement.

Represented the United States/Internal Revenue Service in over 150 cases in both affirmative and defensive litigation in federal district and bankruptcy courts. The Tax Division is unique among DOJ litigating components in that it staffs a single trial attorney – not a trial team – for most cases. As the only attorney staffed on my cases, I was responsible for every aspect of litigation: developing legal theories of recovery, drafting complex pleadings and other memoranda, conducting discovery, negotiating, and taking matters to trial.

Engineer responsible for operational availability of GE’s heavy duty gas turbine fleet. Much of my work involved travel to local power plants to diagnose and fix problems that baffled onsite personnel. Supervised skilled craft labor crews of 15-30. Configured the turbines to operate at optimum efficiency for power and emissions considerations.
