Following the demise of Withey Contracts Ltd. where I was the CAD Manager. During my time at Withey I held the positions of CAD Manager, IT Manager and CAD Technician covering a period of 12 years. Working with many of the high profile retail clients on the high street today. (Next, Gap, Arcadia Group, M&S, DSGi, Laura Ashley,Argos, Homebase, O2, Orange, 3store, HSBC, Alliance & Leicester, Bodyshop, Yorkshire Bank, Abbey, Alpha Retail)

Initially employed as CAD TECHNICIAN to train and support a small team in a newly formed department using CAD technology ensuring that all team members became conversant with AutoCAD R2002, and supporting releases LT 95, R13, LT97, LT98, R14, 2000, LT2000.I then moved to the role of Senior CAD Technician, added responsibilities were the installation and management of the company's computer network and supervision of the CAD Office, project management and coordination of drawings, from clients, consultants, subcontractors.

Returned by request as SENIOR CAD TECHNICIAN to introduce CAD drawing techniques to the drawing office using RADRAFT version 10.

Responsibilities included collaboration with clients, designers, local authorities, factory, external manufacturers and site. Main tasks included site surveys, production of working drawings, scheduling of materials and externally manufactured items.

Studied day release at college for HNC in building studies. Duties involved site surveys, setting out, scheduling materials and components, production of working drawings, local authority applications, production of drawings and estimates for design and build contracts, liaisons with clients, architects, designers, etc.

Responsibilities included implementation of computer software for scheduling/estimating. Other duties included the fire certification and detailing of doors and panel products using AutoCAD R12. Good knowledge of Government Regulations and British Standards required, plus liaison with clients, architects, local authority and Government research establishments.
