• Oversaw a team of five to effectively orchestrate the supply of $5 billion in specialized packaging—including plastic/glass bottles, caps, labels, wraps, cartons, and aluminum cans/lids—for 135 U.S. and Canadian facilities.• Guided supply chain operations for 200 billion units representing 120,000 SKUs.• Aligned objectives and bridged communications with 40 strategic suppliers to forecast needs, produce, and ship the right amount of product at the right place and the right time to optimize production capacity and efficiency.• Spearheaded the development of logistical strategies to optimize the flow of inbound raw materials vs. outbound finished goods to maximize company owned and supplier managed fleets and reduce transportation costs (~ $8M annually), miles traveled (~ 1M annually), fuel usage, and emissions between 92 supplier sites and 135 facilities. o These changes resulted in the creation of the PepsiCo Logistics Company, Incorporated (PLCI) that oversees all of the PepsiCo-related freight across North America.• Designed and implemented strategic supply plans to achieve required Supply KPIs while withstanding the supply chain headwinds, such as COVID, force majeure, raw material contaminations, production shutdowns, labor strikes, and forecast volatility, among others, leading to the creation of the Raw Material Forecast system and process to communicate forecasts to all vendors.Major Initiatives:• Directed a project team responsible for managing the entire PET portfolio redesign; decreased 10% of net weight to achieve raw material savings of $55M and lower the company’s environmental impact.• Supported the development and deployment of the “Corrugate Focus Factory Initiative” that lowered material usage, improved line utilization, encouraged standardization, and optimized transportation activities to secure $15 million in system savings.
