About Steve Dutton

Steve is the external communications lead in the Office of the Deloitte Global CEO. He has 20 years of experience in corporate, political and government communications, with a specific emphasis on media relations. Prior to joining the Deloitte Global CEO office, Steve spent eight years on the Deloitte Global Communications team serving as the media relations lead. In that capacity, he provided strategic communications counsel to a variety of leaders, including the Deloitte Global Chair, Chief People & Purpose officer, Inclusion leader as well as business and industry SMEs. More recently, he also led the Global Communications eminence team, which developed the CxO Sustainability Report, Gen Z & Millennial Survey, and the Women @ Work Global Outlook. He has also supported Deloitte’s presence at the World Economic Forum in Davos, along with many other signature Deloitte campaigns. Prior to joining Deloitte, Steve served as the Senior Advisor of Communications to the Chairwoman of the State and Foreign Operations Appropriations subcommittee in the U.S. House of Representatives. He also served as the Communications Director for a Midwest Member of Congress and Communications Director for the oldest commission in the House of Representatives, the Franking Commission, among other communications leadership roles and responsibilities within the U.S. Congress over the course of nearly a decade. Steve is a member of the National Press Club and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Texas A&M University. In his free time, he enjoys traveling with his wife, Caroline, hanging out with Theodore, their biewer terrier, and dreaming of becoming a winemaker…one day.
