I assist agricultural crop advisors in finding innovative ways to improve crop production and maximize grower returns

As the West Coast/Key Accounts Agronomist for Valent BioSciences, I provide science-based insights into biorational solutions for crop production. This includes education, analysis, and creation of biofertilizers, biostimulants, and biopesticides under the Valent BioSciences portfolio.

As Key Account Manager for the Central Coast, I collaborate with large growing operations to provide quality recommendations and innovative products for all crop nutrition and pest management solutions. My role as Crop Advisor with the family-owned, independent agriculture retailer, Buttonwillow Warehouse Company, affords me the ability to provide a high level of service in a timely manner, and offer a reliable presence both in meeting rooms and the field. Additionally, our partnership with independent retailers across the country allows access to superior flexibility in product offerings and prices. I use my education as a soil scientist and experience as an agronomist and pest control advisor to help growers achieve their crop production and sustainability goals.

As the California and Arizona agronomist, I provide technical support and training to salesmen, retail companies, and growers on the nature and use of FBSciences crop health and fertilizer products. I coordinate research trials with products on various crops, as well as assist in product development and marketing efforts.

Responsible for pest control on 5,000 acres of wine grapes, including scouting fields, writing recommendations, overseeing applications, and purchasing chemicals. Also extensively involved in wine grape fertilization, soil issues, sustainability objectives, cover cropping, and managing on-farm research projects.

I advise my company's PCAs and growers on fertilizers and soil amendments for the goals of increased crop yields and maintenance of healthy plants and soil. To accomplish this goal I analyze soil and tissue reports, perform product research trials in the field, and consider the economics of inputs and net return of profits. I also provide educational materials related to fertility for our PCAs and growers. I work with nut crops, grapes, citrus, berries, vegetables, forage crops, and avocados. I have CCA, PCA, and QAL licenses.

Provide recommendations on fertilizer, irrigation, plant health, and pest management to growers of various crops in central Washington. Regularly take samples of soil and plant tissue for nutrient analysis.Scout for pests to determine species present and economic thresholds.Assist in managing contract research projects to determine efficacy of new agricultural products.Maintain client relations as well as sales and marketing of the company's services.Knowledge and experience with the following crops: grapes, apples, cherries, pears, hops, mint, corn, alfalfa, triticale, wheat, potatoes, onions, asparagus, and peppers
