Promoted to the position after a successful interim period running the department, my main aims were to ensure security of the hotel and its guests and staff, and maintain exceptional levels of cleanliness in the public areas. Reporting to the Deputy General Manager, I worked closely with all heads of department to ensure that any assistance I could offer.

Duties included staff management, customer service, generating sales leads, auditing housekeeping, ordering office stock and liaising with the General Manager to ensure smooth running of the business, as well as performing general maintenance duties when our maintenance engineer was not on site.

Oening and closing the shop, stocking up, serving customers, taking booking requests for custom-made celebration cards. I took this position to help out the family business whilst it was growing.

Duties included working in all areas of the hotel including bar, restaurant, reception and housekeeping. As Night Manager I was responsible for the running of the hotel overnight along with a night porter. General maintenance duties. Reason for leaving: To return to Rochdale and help run the family business.

Delivering and collecting various documents from offices and businesses in the Greater Manchester area for printing/copying at our base in Central Manchester.Reason For Leaving: Released as business was not busy enough to sustain myself and two other drivers.

Duties included serving customers, supervising staff, counting tills at end of shifts, stock control and designing point-of-sale displays. Reason for leaving: The pub and restaurant closed down for a major refurbishment so I decided to take the chance to try something new.
