About Steve Evison

My goal is to encourage people to better understand their relationship within the natural world, and see themselves as part of it, not apart from it."Building nature back into our lives"In addition to encourage better working and decision making approaches which use sound, resilient decision making processes building on solid participation.My experience ranges from practical doing (fencing, mountain path building, woodland management, etc) through to teaching (practical tasks and lecturing) through to management and advising from local to national and some international levels on social and environmental issues.My three main areas of experience are in:Engagement, facilitation and community development work in Tanzania and UK particularly with short inputs in many other places.Natural resource and forest management. Experience in UK and overseas including Alaska, Nicaragua, Tanzania, Bangladesh, Nepal and many of the Southern African countries.Training and creation of learning experiences normally with a focus on hands on practical and scenario based approaches rather than 'book based' study.Specialties: Eco-preneur with lots of relevant interests including: Eco-tourism; Engagement and Community development; participation and facilitation; Natural environment and cultural relationships;Sustainability; Developing organisational resilience in small enterprises and charities. Most of all I am and ideas person with a lot of practical experience of truing them into reality!
