About Steve Feil

High-level executive with forty (40) years of experience and service in public transportation, problem-solver, with background in engineering coupled with extensive business strategy, working with governmental entities, and labor-management experience including unions and bargaining negotiations. The high profile positions which were held by Mr. Feil, have equipped this senior executive with a wealth of knowledge regarding FRA regulations, operational expertise in railroad and transit operations, safety regulations for both public and employee safety, as well as customer service including commuter rail such as New Jersey Transit, Amtrak, and others.Mr. Feil was directly in charge of the commuter railroad at Staten Island (as Senior Vice President of Operations). As a rail executive, Mr. Feil has experience in the private sector, where he held the position of General Manager and Vice President of the Hudson Bergen Light Rail System. Mr. Feil directed the $2 B operation (a DBOM), negotiated its first ever union contract, developed operating agreements with New Jersey Transit (owner) and negotiated these agreements into a five-year contract.
