I am an experienced change professional with 10+ years working in Financial Services across both banking and personal lines insurance. I’ve spent the last 20 months in role as Programme Manager at First Central where I was brought in to deliver business transformation, with their first non-motor insurance product. This role saw me establish programme governance, driving activity across a team of PMs and business SMEs to create the proposition, new underwriting and pricing models, technology via agile teams and business change to get ready for launch. This was a multi-year programme with £xM budget and a team of up to 30 people involved. Most recently I was managing a programme across people, process and technology to enable strategic change. Prior to this role I worked as programme manager on a 12mo FTC at Vanquis, where I led delivery of a key business initiative to transform business and technology which was unfortunately deprioritised. I then led the creation of a new data strategy and delivery of a new single view of customer. My ‘big break’ was the role working at Post Office Insurance, leading another transformation programme to bring home insurance in house onto the Duck Creek platform. This was a challenging role with significant personal and business successes, commencing with new business customer sales and service commencing in October 2019 and then migration of a significant number of customers from the incumbent supplier. The migration commenced in 2020 during lockdown and was testament to the team to make this work at this challenging time. This role involved leading a team of contract PMs and BAs along with IT supplied by an outsource provider with a hybrid onshore and offshore model. The programme lasted for c2 years with £xxM budget and reporting into ExCo stakeholders. In my previous roles I spent 9 years managing projects (and a spell leading a team of in-house PMs) in a leading UK Insurance intermediary. I worked in the insurer-facing team and also worked closely with the affinity business. One of my favourite roles was as change manager in a new Data function who were responsible for monetising opportunities brought from harnessing in-house and proprietary data assets.
