Based in Norfolk, Virginia, PRA is a financial and business services company operating in the U.S., Canada, Brazil, Columbia, Australia, and throughout Europe and the UK with more than 4,000 employees worldwide. The company returns capital to banks and other lenders by acquiring non-performing and bankrupt loans, working collaboratively with its’ customers to design appropriate repayment plans. The company was named one of Forbes’ Best Midsize Employers in America in 2016, Fortune’s 100 Fastest-Growing Companies in 2012-2014 and one of Forbes’ Best Small Companies in America for eight consecutive years through 2014. Served as CEO from inception through June, 2017, leading PRA Group from a start-up with four employees to a publicly traded (IPO in Nov. 2002) global leader in its’ industry. Active in the community, currently serving as board member ( prior chair) of United Way Foundation, United Way of South Hampton Roads, (Co-chaired United for the Future Endowment Drive 2019-2021, past board member 2003-2009, 2011-2017) trustee of the Eastern Virginia Medical School Foundation (treasurer 2018-2019), and on the board of St. Mary’s Home Foundation.Prior involvement as private equity portfolio company advisory board member and industry advisory board member.
