I serve as the lead mentor for a founder of a social venture during each cohort. This includes presentations and a lot of working sessions to help them grow their business.

In partnership with Brush Creek Partners, TechAssure, and Launch KC, the bcp tech Insurtech Accelerator was launched in 2020. Through the application process and over our first 2 years, we identified 10 companies whose founders ran through our Accelerator. The companies were all insurtech companies with a software solution that would benefit insurance agencies, brokers or carriers. Our founder's companies have ranged from pre-revenue to more than $3m in sales. Our focus was to develop distribution channels, improve leadership, build their strategy, create sales processes and systems and the like. In our 2 month program, we introduced them to potential clients, mentors, and investors. All 10 of our cohort members have gone on to grow their companies dramatically in the insurtech space.

Katasi has developed a cutting edge technology that will help to end Distracted Driving accidents. In the last 12 months, more than 6,000 people died and more than 500,000 were injured in DD accidents. DD has surpassed drunk driving as the #1 killer of teens. We are rolling out a transformational leadership training program that helps companies who have employees dealing with mental health issues, physical disabilities, DEI, Second Chance and extreme poverty. Our first event was a KU v MU Alumni Basketball game which included several former NBA players including Brandon Rush, Mario Chalmers, Brady Morningstar, Kareem Rush, Keyon Dooling, Rickey Paulding and many more. The Alumni Basketball League, ABL, is a business building platform designed to help the players and our corporate partners grow their businesses.
