Responsible for reviewing Conventional appraisals for delivery and salability to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Stay up to date on all Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac releases related to collateral review systems. Manage escalations to Team Leads and ensure follow through of all appraisal requirements during all loan milestones, based on company policy. Manage new and revised appraisal pipelines through Mercury and Collateral Management. Communicate with Appraisers within Mercury and Collateral Management when any corrections and or revisions are required and any follow up. Responsible for all associated data entry necessary into Encompass to document the review and salability of the collateral. Utilization of all scoring module. Maintain company established turn times on all newly received appraisals for approval. Assistance with branch inquiries regarding property eligibility. Provide training support to sales force and staff as needed and explaining any conditions and revision requirements that are not clear to them.

Responsible for customization of Power Lender, an advanced loan origination software for consumer, commercial and mortgage lending that goes beyond traditional LOS technology by enabling growth and providing extreme flexibility. Creates custom forms for clients using Adobe Output Designer. Customizes screens and fields according to each client’s requirements. Ensures compliance with HOEPA, HMDA, QM/ATR, SEC 32/35 and more. Oversees integrations with third‐party compliance providers. Provides thorough testing and implementation guidance. Customizes field logic, ensures form and screen staging follows a logical flow and maintains proficiency in underwriting guidelines for conventional, non-conventional mortgages, commercial and consumer loans.

Responsible for underwriting Delegated and Non-Delegated mortgage loans for both Agency (FNMA/FHLMC) and Non-Agency (Jumbo) loan applications and applying needed conditions using Agency and Non -Agency program/product specifications with a lending authority up to $1.5MM. Communicates the decision (approval, suspense, denial) to the appropriate individuals within the firm while upholding fair lending practices of JPMorgan Chase Mortgage. Reviews submitted files for capacity, capital, character and condition. Reviews appraisals and complex tax returns. Responsible for supervision of an underwriting team reviewing and responding to Agency repurchase requests. Reviews loans that have repurchase demands to validate whether the claims are valid.
