Responsible for developing and execution of the engineering strategy on site to ensure the safe provision of equipment and services are implemented in an effective and efficient way. This is a senior operational management role and provides the leadership on all engineering matters on site that include the setting of site engineering standards, managing the currency business engineering teams, providing the strategic direction on major engineering works and projects and leading the site wide management of risks, engineering service provision, engineering projects and engineering design. Leading the team ensuring a culture of standards, root cause analysis and continuous improvement within the engineering function. This role is key in developing systems and processes to ensure plant and equipment is effectively maintained, that operates legally and efficiently meeting all statutory requirements, delivering products in a cost effective manner, through culture of engineering excellence.Additionally:Site Senior Authorised Person (SAP) carrying out switching activities on the site’s 11kV electrical distribution system.

Leading all aspects of Production and Engineering within the melting, rolling and blanking site, this includes the foundry containing 3 continuous casting lines producing 15000 tonnes of non-ferrous coils per year, cold rolling mills and high speed blanking lines producing 600 tonnes of blanks/week. Accountable for delivering the production plan, continuously driving safety culture, machine performance and attaining product quality. Ensuring machine O.E.E by focused KPI's and a continuous improvement approach. Also, accountable for the associated Production and Engineering budgets of circa £10m revenue, employee development and health, safety & environment for all activities.Additionally:Site Senior Authorised Person (SAP) carrying out switching activities on the site’s 11kV electrical distribution system.

Manage all aspects of engineering (including capital projects) and maintenance within the circulating coin, commemorative coin and tool room production departments. Improving machine O.E.E by a planned maintenance and continuous improvement approach. Also accountable for the associated engineering budgets both revenue and capital, engineering staff development and health, safety & environment for all engineering activities.Additionally:Qualified as a site Senior Authorised Person (SAP) tasked with carrying out switching activities on the site’s electrical distribution to 11kV.
