Steve is an experienced Civil Engineer and Manager with 40 years experience within the Water/ Wastewater/ Solid Waste industry in all areas of planning, design, documentation and delivery both within Australia as well as overseas. He has been responsible for the delivery of wastewater, water, pipeline, irrigation, river, earthworks, solid waste and drainage projects and programs of works over the years. Most of these have required Steve to lead and/or operate within multi-disciplinary teams often in difficult brown-field sites. He has a passion for delivery and helping others achieve their goals.Today he is equally at home in the Consultancy and/ or Local Government arenas where he has spent much of his professional life. His early working life started in the manufacturing industry where he completed a trade apprentice.Steve has a Bachelor of Civil and Structural Engineering (Hons), is a Registered Engineer of Queensland as well as on the National Engineers Registrar, is a Certified Practicing Project Manager and is a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers Australia.

Senior Project Manger, Major Projects.Townsville City Council Apr 2008 - Nov 2012Townsville, AustraliaSteve was the Senior Project Manager personally responsible for all aspects of this large Program of works (incl. negotiations with State Gov (licensing and funding) for the Wastewater Upgrade Program. This comprised the upgrade of Mt St John Wastewater Purification Plant to a capacity of 106k EP, 27kms of sewage pressure pipeline, 5 major pump stations and the demolition of four old treatment plants. The procurement strategy adopted was to construct to a detailed design with early Constructor involvement (Risk, Cost, Design, commercial and program inputs). Conditions of Contract are modified AS4000 incorporating relationship principles.The Program, Councils largest undertaking to date, was successfully manged and delivered by Steve and received the following awards:o Engineers Australia, Townsville Region Excellence Award –Winnero IPWEAQ, Water Category >$10M – Winner.o AIPM (QLD), Construction/ Engineering >$100M – Winner.o Engineers Australia (QLD), Projects >$50M – Highly Commended.o IPAA Qld, Best Practice in Local Gov – Highly Commended. -
