Drawing on the experience of flying entertainers since the early 1990s, I conceived the idea of a "one-stop shop" service in March 2009 that included private jet travel, tractor-trailers, private coach and warehousing that catered to the entertainment industry. This service offering became known as On Tour Logistics (OTL). My message to the entertainment industry was straight forward - just as we provide "white glove" treatment for entertainers in the air, we would provide the same service on the ground. OTL would employ top-shelf, uniformed drivers that were humble, effective and professional. Just as our most important job at Averitt Air is hiring the right pilots, it is the same at OTL - finding the best drivers in the industry. The first three years of OTL were extremely challenging as I had to overcome the issues of efficiently integrating OTL into Averitt Express, funding, acquiring a sizable amount equipment, and the perceived lack of confidence in OTL by the entertainers since we were considered an unknown. We decided that instead of focusing on the entertainers we would focus on companies that provided lights, sound, stage, and steel at the various indoor and outdoor venues. Over time, word spread that we provide a dependable, high quality service (both in the air and on the ground) of which the entertainers began to take notice. As a result, On Tour Logistics has grown to become a first class leader in ground and air logistics for the varied aspects of the entertainment industry.

Succeeded in converting the unprofitable laboratory division into a financially successful growing analytical laboratory by reducing staff and overhead, and increasing the client base through expanded laboratory services and marketing. Involved in oil & gas exploration and reservoir engineering in the United States and Canada. Responsible for drilling, well log analysis and completion of oil and gas wells. Also responsible for the design and implementation of secondary recovery projects which include ground water, porosity and permeability studies with presentation and negotiation of these results to the regulatory commission. Responsibilities include the design of pipelines, pumping systems, oil and gas separators, and downhole tubulars. Developed engineering software for Vista Energy Corporation and Conoco (pump design, gas flow rates, pressure transient curves, etc.) using "C++" language. Developed flight log program for flight department and point-of-sale accounting software package using "DBASE IV" language. Northeast Nash Waterflood Technical Committee – Designed tract participation mathematical formulas that were approved and implemented by Mobil, Tenneco, and Chevron. Responsible for managing a team of 25 engineers and technicians.

West Palm Beach, Florida

Responsible for design and integrity of analog, digital and data acquisition systems for military gas turbine test cells. Also responsible for interfacing digital and analog computer systems with gas turbine measurement systems. Received Cost Reduction Award for redesigning computer software on gas turbine test cells, resulting in fuel savings of $500,000 per year for ten test cells. Received Secret Military Clearance for the Pratt & Whitney J-58 turbojet which powered the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird (Air Force surveillance and reconnaissance aircraft).
