CurrentSteve is a Partner in Mercer's Career business based in Atlanta, Georgia. He partners with organization leaders to engage employees through the successful research and delivery of total rewards and career framework outcomes, aligned with the organization’s business, talent and technology strategies and facilitating diversity, equity and inclusion. Recent engagements include strategic pay and total reward program design, job architecture, competitive market assessment, job evaluation and global leveling, pay structure development and program governance. Steve’s industry experience includes manufacturing, distribution, retail, healthcare, biotech, aerospace & defense, specialty chemicals, and non-profit. From November 2015 through August 2019, Steve served as Mercer's Global Solution Lead for the company's job evaluation offering, including its market-leading International Position Evaluation (IPE) methodology and supporting technology. Responsibilities covered product development and commercialization as well as consultant training and education.Prior to joining Mercer, Steve served in various consulting roles and was the Director of Compensation with a medical device manufacturing organization. As Director of Compensation, he was responsible for compensation program strategy, design and administration for operations in the U.S., Canada, Latin America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. Other responsibilities included sales incentive program design, executive compensation, performance management, and global compensation planning.Steve received a B.A. in Sociology with a concentration in Organizational Behavior from Yale University. He is a member of WorldatWork and served as President of the Atlanta Area Compensation Association. Steve is a frequent speaker at local, national and global industry association events. Recent topics include quantifying the value of risk in a COVID environment, global talent trends, the science of structure, and job evaluation ROI.
