Position was through Infovision Consultants.Development of a technician support application for Android devices.The application was designed to interface with Verizon equipment, and allow technicians to monitor and troubleshoot performance.Acted as the lead UI designer for this project.

Position was through Infovision Consultants.Development and support of various mobile banking applications for Android and BlackBerry. The Android development has been for both smart phones and tablets, and also included services, notifications and extensive UI design. I have also integrated Bluetooth LE (BLE) and the use of beacons into Android applications. This is extremely useful for detecting user interaction, movement and patterns. In addition, I have also used this technology to detect and assist users with special needs. Furthermore, I have even developed a pilot application for indoor navigation (since GPS does not work indoors). This is new technology with unlimited possibilities!

Developing and supporting mobile video applications on BlackBerry and Android platforms working with major OEMs including RIM, Samsung, LG, HTC, Moto, Kyocera, and all Tier 1 carriers including Sprint, AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile.Responsibilities include designing, coding, testing and documenting new functionality as well as maintenance of existing code, while learning and using the Lua programming language. Responsible for initial development and design of a new BlackBerry application using the RIM Java Development Environment version 5.0 and Eclipse, along with RIM API's, and J2ME. The application is designed to run on the BlackBerry Bold, Curve, and Storm devices.Created a class to manage custom themes, in addition to overriding U/I controls to apply customizations. To my knowledge, most people would agree this is next to impossible throughout every single part of an application, but I have successfully done it.The application was based on an existing C#/.Net application, thus utilizing my ability to understand and debug the C#/.Net code in order to determine all of the needed functionality, and migrate the code to a Java platform.Utilized direct TCP socket connections in order to send and receive data, multi-threading, extensive encryption and decryption logic, and custom classes. Employed Agile development methodology.

Responsible for developing, modifying and testing applications for BlackBerry devices, using Java/J2ME with the RIM API's and the RIM Java Development Environment, versions 4.1, 4.2.1, 4.6 and 4.7, in addition to MDS runtime. Worked with all Blackberry devices, including trackwheel, Curve, Bold, and Storm. The Blackberry applications were all done using a single set of source code. In addition, there was extensive use of MDS and the Blackberry simulators.Worked with Blackberry Location Based Services (LBS) for maps and lookup features.Worked a great deal on the Blackberry U/I, rewriting most of it for the new version of Pocket Express. In addition, worked a great deal with underlying logic, server communications, SMS and email capability from the application, and even incorporating the Blackberry address book within the application.Extensive knowledge of memory management and data storage techniques, including the use of RMS and persistent storage.Incorporated images and artwork into the applications, and wrote custom code for sizing images and art.Created a theme manager class and overrode most U/I controls to apply customizations such as fonts, sizes, and colors.Worked on existing versions or Pocket Express and did a great deal of work for the new version (5.0), in addition to special custom builds for AT&T and Sprint.Develop and maintain Pocket Express versions 4 and 5. Developed applications for analysis of clinical data using SAS in a VAX/VMS environment, and participated in all phases of SDLC.Sole developer and initiator of pen-based software using C and the Penright Pro SDK, along with dBase for the purpose of collecting clinical data more efficiently. The applications were used on handheld devices.
